Tree-Sized Cactus in Arizona

I grew up in Maine, which is distinctly Northeast. The only place I had ever seen cactus was on westerns. Imagine my surprise when I found that certain varieties of cactus can grow to tree heights. Others were purple, and there is even an eastern cactus that grows in New England. So, cactuses are so cool I bought some and am growing them at home.
